Request for Proposal for Town Professional Engineering Services

The Town of Bolton is requesting written proposals from interested and qualified Engineering Firms with professional engineers licensed in the State of New York available to provide professional engineering services which will generally include: Review of zoning and planning board  applicant’s submittals; drawings and specifications related to area variances, site plans, stormwater design and erosion control facilities, septic system designs and other engineering items as may be required.  Site visits to project locations situated in the Town of Bolton may be required.  The Engineering Firm must be familiar with the specific requirements and application of New York Codes, Rules, Regulations, New York State statutes and Local Laws applied by the Town of Bolton, the Adirondack Park Agency and the Lake George Park Commission.  Availability will be on an “as needed basis” as requested by the Director of Zoning and Planning.  Prompt response to any request is essential.  Attendance at meetings during the day and Board meetings at night may be required.  Compensation will be based on an hourly rate for the professional services rendered.  Miscellaneous and travel expenses will be reimbursed.  Contact Richard Miller, P.E. @ (518) 644-2893 or planning@town.bolton.ny.us

Job Description:

Job Description:  Successful candidate assists in assignments relating to various phases of municipal planning and zoning programs and projects.  The work may include preparing small scale individual planning projects or single aspects of larger planning projects and programs.  The work is carried out in accordance with well-established and accepted professional planning techniques and procedures under the direct supervision of a higher level planning professional.  May be required to attend evening meetings.  Does related work as required.

The Town of Bolton is seeking seasonal laborers.

General maintenance in multiple departments. A valid driver’s license is required.

Parks Laborer needed from May-Columbus Day, minimum age of 16, starting salary $13.00/hr and available weekends.  Responsibilities include keeping neat and clean appearance of restrooms, parks and surrounding grounds including docks.  Valid driver’s license required.
