LEGAL NOTICE

ANNUAL ELECTION OF THE BOLTON FRE DISTRICT

On December 10, 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Annual Election of the Bolton Fire District will take place on December 10 , 2019  between the hours  of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00         p.m. at the Bolton Fire House located at 5003 Lake Shore Drive, Bolton Landing, N.Y. , for the purpose of electing one Fire Commissioner for a five (5) year term, commencing January 1, 2020 and ending December 31, 2024.    All voters registered with the Warren County Board of Elections on or before November 18, 2019 shall be eligible to vote.

Candidates for District Office shall have filed their names with the Secretary of the Bolton Fire District, at the Fire House at 5003 Lake Shore Drive, P.O. Box 1365, no later than twenty days before the election, November 20, 2019.

PUBLIC NOTICE

PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE #28
MECHANICALLY PROPELLED VESSELS. REGULATING THE SPEED OF MOTORBOATS

TO BE ADDED:
A NEW SECTION 3
SECTION 3

FINES
Where a court of competent jurisdiction, after due process, shall make a finding that an operator of a motor vessel shall have been found to have operated a motorboat in violation of any speed limitation herein specified, the civil penalty that may be imposed shall be (1) upon any first violation for speeding, a sum not to exceed $100; (2) upon any second  violation for speeding, within a year of a first violation a sum not to exceed $200; and (3) upon any third or subsequent  violation for speeding, within a year of a prior violation, a sum not to exceed $300.

Ordinance #28 shall also provide that the Town Board may from time to time restate, amend or otherwise provide for different or additional civil penalties by subsequent resolution of the Town Board.

   Warren County is in the process of developing a registry for full and part-time residents that may need additional assistance during an emergency for use by local emergency responders.  Those who choose to share the information will be asked to provide their age and address, whether they are hearing impaired, whether they have any equipment like oxygen tanks or need dialysis, or have a pacemaker or defibrillator, or medication that requires refrigeration. They are can also detail any other serious medical issues, and whether they are mobile, or need assistance to walk.  The information will also collect the names of emergency contacts.  Any information regarding language barriers may also be included.  www.warrencountyny.gov/emergency/registry/
